In the Calendar app on your Mac, do one of the following: Click Accept, Decline, or Maybe in the email. Open the event attachment to add the event to Calendar. Then, in Calendar, click the Notifications button in the toolbar, click New, then click Accept, Decline, or Maybe. Right now, the user receives the calendar invitation as an attachment in the email and is able to add the event to their calendar if they open up the attachment and click on 'add to calendar' (in outlook). Go to OutlookFileOptionsCalendar and scroll down to Resource Scheduling and uncheck the box that says 'Automatically accept meeting requests and remove canceled meetings'. We use outlook for managing emails, calendars and contacts and have
it merged with icloud. When I used to send my wife a calendar invite, it would
automatically go into her calendar inbox on her phone. She would then open the
inbox an accept the invite. And vice versa. For some reason now, this has
stopped. What is happening now is we receive an email which we have to open and then scroll
down to the ics attachment. We then need to click on that, add it to calendar
and then accept it
